The Sydney Cichlid Page has offered three website awards in it's history.
The first is the Gold Award for Webpage excellence, this award is given only to sites with highly original content. The Gold Award features the Gold breeding form of the Severum (Heros spp.). The winners of this award have websites that offer either something unique to the internet aquarium community, large resource libraries or both.
The Sydney Cichlid page also offers an award for new websites (under 1 year old) with good layout and information, it features the every popular 7-bar frontosa (Cyphotilapia frontosa). This award does not represent a second prize, instead it aims to encourage exciting & promising websites to greater things.
The third award, the Managuense Award for aquarium related sites only, and is given to websites that promote the hobby of fishkeeping, the award takes its name and background from the jaguar cichlid (Parachromis managuense). Winners of The Managuense Award include clubs and societies online and species specific sites.
If you would like your site to be considered for the Awards please email me. Please remember to include your URL and title of the website in your email.
Many past winners are sadly no longer online but we have linked to winners with current sites.
